Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, my love for storytelling brought me to New York City with pit stops in East Africa; London; Colorado; and Miami, Florida. I studied writing at The New School, where I was a member of the Riggio Honors Writing and Democracy Program and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts.

I started my journalism career at fashion Bible WWD covering the accessories markets, before specializing in fine jewelry at trade publication National Jeweler.

Along the way, I contributed articles to a range of publications, consulted for companies, and grew an authentic social media following.
